Pink Saturday ~ Spring Fever

Happy Pink Saturday my friends! Please visit Beverly at http://www.howsweetthesound.typepad.com/ to see all of the pink participants this week!

For some unknown reason I have Spring Fever! I know, it's only January, right? You don't have to tell me that we have at least two more months of winter here in Western New York! Yet I just can't seem to help it! Much to my husband's dismay this means that I like to re-decorate, even if it's only simple little touches. I've decided that my living room needs more roses and more pink. But, while my husband really doesn't care much about what I do with the decor, I've decided that I should do this rather slowly.

Here's a little touch that I added a short time ago. This is really a candle holder but I rather like it filled with rose potpourri and with some pink seam binding around it!

I've been looking for some rose pillows and I found these at Target.com. My couches are burgandy so the burgandy and pink in the pillow will look very nice I think.

What do you think? If you know where else I might search for Pink Rose Pillows please let me know!

I added a beautiful rose picture last year and hubby said he actually liked it!!!!! That means add more roses, right? He, he, he!

Have a wonderful weekend and let's hope Spring comes early this year!

Hugs,

Jacalyn

What a wonderful Pink Saturday post! I just ♥ the fact that each of us shares such a variety of items - that's one reason why this event is never boring. Always something fun, new, lovely or interesting around the corner.

I have MEGA spring fever right now but it will be a couple of months before our snow is gone...sigh.

Thanks for sharing a part of yourself today☺ Cold, gloomy day today but, as always, bright and sunny on the Pink Saturday blogs.

♫Wishing you sunshine and happiness this weekend!♫

Oh I totally know what you mean. Something gets into us and we have to redo. I think it's a nesting thing that just comes with spring. I love to turn the house upside down, room by room and give it a good cleaning, redecorate, let things go and bring in the new, Happy Pink Saturday to you and good luck with rose pillows. I make them and sell them on my website as do many others, it shouldn't be hard to find many gorgeous items out there, happy hunting, that is half the fun. Bunny Cottage, Vicki has a great collection and would be someone to ask, hope that helps, Char

Hi Jacalyn -- Thanks for stopping by my blog. I, too, mentioned the notion that perhaps the living room needs painting (predictable side effect of winter blahs on my part), he practically covered his ears and ran screaming from the room!

Good luck with your hubby. Yes, I DO think that means more roses!

Jacalyn, I love that rose pillow. If I see any other sources, I will be sure and let you know, but some of the etsy stores have them. Some of our Pinkies make them. Seems like Rebecca and Betzie both make them. Maybe they could do a custom one for you.

Happy Pink Saturday...

XO,

Sheila :-)

I too am getting spring fever, maybe because today felt like a nice spring day. It is just teasing us because Monday we are suppose to get more snow.

Very pretty pillow, before your Hubs knows what happens your place will be all girly.

Hi, Jacalyn,
I have spring fever, too. In fact, I am very much a springtime person. I love what you did with your potpourri jar. I think the pillows are very pretty and will go well with your couch. Smart lady to add a "few roses" at a time to let hubby get used to them! Happy Pink Saturday and enjoy your weekend! Vicki

Hi Jacalyn, love the rose pillow bet it looks great with your sofa..I agree, I love cabbage roses and to integrate that into our living area I would have to go S.L.O.W. but it can be, and should be done, if that is a passion. I am going to redo our guest room into shabby, vintage and prim..I am the mom of grown sons..I need a girly room just to enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful week

I like that you filled the candle holder with potpourri and ties with a ribbon and a rose :-) And I commend you for doing it slowly (redecorating in pink), that way it won't be a big shock for the husband LOL

Belated PS!

Love the pillow. I've got to get myself over to Target or is it possibly on line?

One can never have too many roses or too much pink.
